About Datrace

Learn about Datrace’s team, Amazon product, keyword, ranking, traffic and category data, and how to connect your AI assistant through MCP.

The people behind Datrace

We are a Hong Kong-based team with experience in product management and data software engineering. Our work grew from Amazon sellers’ needs for keyword research and a clearer view of traffic changes. We bring that product and data experience to Datrace, making marketplace research data accessible through the AI assistants and agents people already use.

What Datrace does

Datrace provides Amazon marketplace data for market analysis, product research, keyword research, traffic diagnosis, and competitor analysis. Its tools cover product information and performance, keyword demand and competition, rankings, traffic, advertising signals, and category insights.

Our purpose

Datrace aims to shorten the path from a business question to relevant marketplace data. By connecting product, keyword, ranking, traffic, and category research through MCP, we help sellers, brands, service providers, and developers bring evidence into their analysis and make informed decisions.

Product and ASIN data

Start with an ASIN to retrieve its title, image, price, currency, rating, review count, and product link. Research can then extend to parent–child variation relationships, BSR trends, changes in product information, recent orders and monthly order trends, reverse keyword lookup, and comparisons across products. These tools help you connect changes in a listing with changes in its search visibility and market performance.

ASIN tools

Keyword demand and competition

Keyword tools describe search demand and competition using weekly search volume, ABA report ranking, CPC, click and conversion shares, and the ASINs appearing for a keyword. Historical tools support comparisons across reporting periods. Advertising replay shows observed placements for a keyword on a selected day, with its own marketplace and hourly limits. Use the field definitions to distinguish search demand, placement, and traffic metrics.

Rankings and traffic over time

Study how an ASIN appears for a keyword and how its natural and advertising traffic scores change. Depending on the tool, you can inspect daily, weekly, or monthly trends, or hourly positions for a selected date. Position types include organic, sponsored, and recommendation placements where documented. Pair ranking changes with keyword coverage and traffic trends to investigate visibility gains or losses.

Ranking and traffic tools

Category markets and competitive structure

Category research starts by finding a matching category and generating its insight resource. Related tools then provide sales, new-release and growth rankings, market size trends, seasonality, keyword demand, price segments, brand competition, and rating distributions. Resource IDs connect these queries to the same chosen marketplace and category. Review the reporting period and representative-ASIN scope when comparing products, brands, or segments.

Where the data comes from

Our market-data research draws on Amazon marketplace pages, observed search results, and Amazon Brand Analytics reports. Some indicators are calculated or estimated from these inputs. Tool documentation defines the returned fields and scope so you can distinguish observed information, derived scores, and estimates.

From your question to data and analysis

Connect an MCP-compatible AI client to Datrace, then ask your research question. The client selects relevant tools, retrieves data from Datrace, and uses the results to build its analysis. Each tool documents its inputs, returned fields, and credit rules.

Bring data into your AI workflow

An MCP connection lets a compatible assistant or agent discover Datrace tools and request structured data while working on your question. Connect your chosen client, complete authorization, and specify the marketplace, ASIN, keyword or category, and reporting period. Your client can combine the relevant results into an explanation or comparison. Developers can use the same documented tool inputs and outputs in their own MCP-enabled workflows.
